kegelmaster

kegelmaster WomanThis page is essentially the same as the instruction/brochure, which is included with your Kegelmaster. Remember the Kegelmaster is easy and pleasurable to use. If you use the Kegelmaster some day you will look back and realize you've made one of the best decisions in your life.

How do I use the Kegelmaster?
You should start using your Kegelmaster with one spring on the rear pin in front of the hinge. Close your Kegelmaster with your hand and tighten the knob on top to hold it closed. Lay down on your back, with your head resting on at least one pillow, relax, and bend your knees keeping your feet flat, about two feet apart. O.K., ladies... position the Kegelmaster, with the knob up.

Make sure you lubricate the vaginal area with a water soluble lubricant and lubricate the Kegelmaster from the ribs to the tip. Place the Kegelmaster between your thighs, insert the unit into your vaginal opening until it is firmly in place. You will notice this when the Kegelmaster feels much smaller and locks into place.

Grasp your Kegelmaster firmly, you are now ready for your initial adjustment!! This is done by turning the knob at the top of the Kegelmaster counterclockwise - until the knob is no longer touching the top of the Kegelmaster or until it is slightly uncomfortable. Not to worry, this discomfort is your muscles being put under tension so that the contraction exercise can proceed.

NOTE: If the knob is off the top of the Kegelmaster and you don't feel any pressure from the Kegelmaster putting resistance against the vaginal muscles, then you will have to add another spring. If you have the right tension, squeeze down against the Kegelmaster. If you are easily able to clamp down with your vaginal muscles completely for thirty reps (closings), remove the unit from your vagina and change the position of the spring, moving forward one pin (see Power Spring Combinations). If you are still able to easily close down all the way, for thirty reps - after insertion, then you must move the single spring back to the rear pin (1) and add a spring to the next forward pin (2), then repeat the process.

Power Spring Combinations:
1,2,3,4, 1*2, 1*3, 1*4, 2*4, 3*4, 1*2*3, 1*2*4, 1*3*4, 2*3*4, 1*2*3*4

The ideal spring tension is determined by one's ability to close the Kegelmaster at the beginning of the exercise and become unable to close it completely at the end of 30 reps. This is not hard to do and it is a lot of fun to see how many of the springs you can squeeze for 30 reps, having difficulty with the last five. The exercise sequence starts with 3 sets of 30 reps daily. With each rep you attempt closure of the Kegelmaster, pausing in-between each set of 30 reps for 15 seconds. It is recommended to work up to 6 sets of 30 reps a minimum of 3 times a week. An individual may do more sets, but it is not advisable to exceed 30 reps. A final fatigue of the muscle until the last rep is performed with very little vaginal movement is your goal (you can never overwork the vaginal muscles).

Those are the instructions that come with the Kegelmaster. However, I have added my own instructions below. Please feel free to email me with comments, additions or if you see a way I can make this more clear.

Unscrew the knob and open the unit, then you start by putting one spring on post 1 (the closest post to the hinge). Close the unit, put the knob back on and screw it closed (don't tighten too much). Then, using plenty of lubricant, you insert the KM. It will feel like there's a spot it just fits. Unscrew the knob until you feel a slight pressure. The unit should open. Squeeze the unit. Now, if the unit does not open or you do not feel a slight pressure, you are not on a high enough setting. You may even have to start with 2 springs before you feel the pressure and it opens. Then, keep moving up until you find a setting to where you can close it almost all the way. When you can, you need to move up again and keep moving up everytime you can close it almost all the way. You do not have to close it the last little bit. Just like, at the gym, you do not let the weights drop all the way down before you pick them back up. The exercise is in the motion in the middle.

The combinations are (starting at the weakest moving to the strongest):
First Setting: 1 spring on post 1
Second: 1 spring on post 2
Third: 1 spring on post 3
Fourth: 1 spring on post 4

Fifth: A spring on post 1 and a spring on post 2
Sixth: A spring on post 1 and a spring on post 3
Seventh: A spring on post 1 and a spring on post 4
Eighth: A spring on post 2 and a spring on post 3
Ninth: A spring on post 2 and a spring on post 4
Tenth: A spring on post 3 and a spring on post 4

Eleventh: A spring on post 1, a spring on post 2 and a spring on post 3
Twelveth: A spring on post 1, a spring on post 2 and a spring on post 4
Thirteeth: A spring on post 1, a spring on post 3 and a spring on post 4
Fourteenth: A spring on post 2, a spring on post 3 and a spring on post 4
Fifteenth: A spring on post 1, a spring on post 2, a spring on post 3 and a spring on post 4

Play around with the combinations and move up until you find a setting where the KM opens, you feel a slight pressure and you can close it ALMOST all the way. Then, you need to start on the next higher setting. If you look, the settings are simply starting closest to the
hinge and "walking up" to closest to the tip.

The answer to the majority of the questions I receive is, "You are not on a high enough setting".
If you, don't feel any pressure, can't tell if it's opening, it isn't opening, it isn't opening all the way, or you feel like you've been on the same setting forever, you are not on a high enough setting. Don't be afraid to try different settings. If you can't tell how much it's closing, use your fingers and feel the gap, get a mirror and look or have a partner help you. If it is moving even a little, this is a good thing. If it is closing all the way, or you hear a click, you are on too low of a setting.

Please let me know if you have any questions you would like to see addressed here.
